He is a graduate of Muhlenberg College and Pennsylvania College of Optometry, with a residency at Yale's Gesell Institute of Child Development. Dr. Seifert is a consultant to the contact lens and drug industries. As a researcher he holds a patent for instrumentation which trains hand-eye coordination and oculomotor skills. Dr. Seifert has worked as a consultant to professional baseball and the United States Olympic Committee. On two occasions, he has addressed the Pentagon on how to improve visual skills of those serving in the military. He is a national and international lecturer.
